Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how QuickRandomChat ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our platform (the "Service"). We are committed to data minimization and transparency. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We design our systems to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the Service, the following categories of data may be collected:
2.1 Account Information (Registered Users Only)
- Display names (auto-generated by the platform, not chosen by the user).
- Email address (used exclusively for standard account authentication and critical security communications).
2.2 Session and Security Data
- Anonymous session identifiers to manage your connection.
- Temporary IP addresses, used strictly for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and security enforcement.
- Lightweight, hashed device fingerprints (non-personally-identifiable) for fraud detection.
2.3 Usage Data
- Pages visited and features accessed within the Service.
- Credit balance and usage activity.
- Report-related metadata (only when a report is submitted by a user).
2.4 Data We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicit about what we never store:
- Full chat transcripts of unreported conversations. All chats exist only in active memory and are permanently destroyed the moment a session ends.
- Screen recordings, screenshots, or any visual captures of your sessions.
- Audio, video, or file attachments of any kind.
- Behavioral profiles based on conversation patterns.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate registered users and manage sessions.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- To prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent activity through rate-limiting and security mechanisms.
- To process user reports and conduct moderation reviews.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Chat Data and Storage
Privacy during conversations is a core principle of our platform:
- Unreported conversations: Chat messages exist only in active server memory during a live session. The moment either participant disconnects, all message data is permanently and irrecoverably destroyed. It is never written to a database, log file, or backup system.
- Reported conversations: When a user submits a report, only the most recent messages from that specific session are temporarily captured and stored for investigation. This data is automatically and permanently deleted after a short retention period.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies to operate the Service:
- Essential cookies: Required for core functionality such as login, session management, and security.
- Session cookies: Maintain your authenticated state during a browsing session. These are temporary and are removed when you close your browser.
- Security cookies: Help prevent fraud and protect against unauthorized access.
You may disable cookies through your browser settings, but please note that the Service may not function correctly without essential cookies. For complete details, please review our Cookie Policy.
6. Advertising
The Service displays advertisements through trusted third-party ad networks to support platform operations and keep the Service free for all users.
- Ads are placed only on designated, non-chat pages such as the homepage, between sessions, and on optional reward screens.
- Ads are never shown inside active chat sessions or adjacent to user-generated content.
- We do not use advertising cookies or behavioral targeting to serve ads. Ad placements are contextual and non-personalized.
- We do not sell, share, or provide any personal user data to advertising partners.
7. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:
- Legal compliance: If required by a valid legal request from a recognized authority, we will provide only the data that is technically available and strictly limited to the reported incident in question.
- Service providers: We may use trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, content delivery, security) that process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- Unreported chat data is never stored and has zero retention.
- Reported content is retained temporarily for investigation and is automatically deleted after a short, defined retention period.
- Account data for registered users is retained for the duration of the account. To have your account permanently deactivated and your data purged, you may submit a manual deletion request to our support team.
- Session and security logs are retained only as long as necessary for abuse prevention and are routinely purged.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable privacy regulations, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- The right to request deletion of your data.
- The right to restrict or object to certain types of data processing.
- The right to data portability where technically feasible.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our Contact Page.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include standard password hashing, secure Transport Layer Security (HTTPS) connections, rate-limiting, IP-based throttling, and secure session management. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children and Minors
The Service is strictly intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with data, we will take prompt steps to delete that information and terminate their access.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please reach out to us through our Contact Page.
